Strengthening Digital Safety at Marsden Park Masjid

As part of the Act Now. Stay Secure. Australian Government campaign, House of Sakinah was pleased to host a Cybersecurity Awareness Session at Marsden Park Masjid on 21 July 2026, bringing together community members to learn practical ways to stay safe and secure online.

The Act Now. Stay Secure. campaign encourages all Australians to adopt simple cyber-safe behaviours in their everyday lives to better protect themselves from online threats. This session supported that goal by equipping participants with practical knowledge and actionable strategies to improve their digital safety.

The session covered key cybersecurity topics, including:

  • Recognising common cyber threats and phishing scams
  • Strengthening password security and using passphrases
  • Protecting personal information and online privacy
  • Understanding safe online habits in daily life
  • Building awareness around the importance of digital security

Participants engaged in meaningful discussions and gained valuable insights into how small, consistent actions can significantly improve their online safety and help protect their families in an increasingly connected world.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and actively participated. Your engagement and willingness to learn contribute to building a more informed and resilient community.

By increasing awareness and sharing knowledge, we are helping to strengthen digital confidence and foster a safer online environment for all.
