Building Cyber Awareness at IFAM Office Mount Druitt
As part of the Act Now. Stay Secure. Australian Government campaign, House of Sakinah was pleased to host a Cybersecurity Awareness Session at the IFAM Office in Mount Druitt on 24 June 2026. The session brought together community members to strengthen their understanding of online safety and learn practical ways to protect themselves in an increasingly digital world.
The Act Now. Stay Secure. campaign encourages all Australians to adopt simple, everyday cyber-safe behaviours to reduce risk and stay protected online. This session supported that goal by providing clear, practical guidance tailored to everyday internet use.
Throughout the session, participants explored key cybersecurity topics, including:
- Recognising common cyber threats such as phishing scams and fraudulent messages
- Creating strong passwords and secure passphrases
- Protecting personal and financial information online
- Understanding privacy settings and safe browsing practices
- Developing safe digital habits for everyday use
The workshop encouraged open discussion, allowing participants to ask questions and share their own experiences with online safety. This interactive approach helped reinforce practical learning and made the session accessible for all levels of digital experience.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and actively participated. Your engagement plays an important role in strengthening awareness and building a more informed community.
By increasing digital literacy and sharing knowledge, we are helping to create a safer, more resilient community that is better equipped to navigate the online world with confidence.
